Subs are not exclusively, and a large, successful channel just creates marketshare other channels benefit from.
To """compete""" with gura I would just avoid overlapping with her streams and enjoy the passive benefit her channel provides to the entire EN vtubing ecosystem.

She was part of the first HoloEN gen, which debuted in the midst of COVID when people had more free time, and got the cute loli model. If the interviewer is looking for a good answer on how to beat her, there isn't one. She got popular mostly through luck. Her sub count before she even debuted proves it.

Good hiring managers won't give you that chance, so if an interviewer fucks up and chums the water, you strike. Control the conversation and you control the negotiation.
