Cluster stopped their activity for 2 years because of Corona when it would have been a golden opportunity for them to gain popularity with VR events while everyone was stuck at home.

Hololive has some of the normie crowd called the early majority.
That's why they get those big numbers and the early fans dislike their content which is made for the bigger group.

What Kizuna Ai did, prerecorded gameplays and skits (both of which aren't even the pinnacle of creativity), worked at the time, they don't work now. She ended up leaving because her time had passed, and she's right.
