Selen saying in no uncertain terms it was caused by Nijisanji AND Nijisanji basically admitting it with self-incriminating statements is the only reason this worked.

It would've actually been worse for Niji antis. Doki wouldn't have been around to post that confirming tweet of the attempt. It would've been swept under the rug and an out-of-court settlement would've been paid to her family. That tweet was the pebble that started the avalanche, because it came from Doki herself. Canadian government won't be assed to bring a Japanese corpo to justice over the suicide of one Canadian citizen. Everyone on the interwebs could hoo-haa as much as they like, but the girl would've been dead and her family would likely give no fucks if they're paid. With her alive, other companies are now jumping at the chance to sponsor her so that they could sell their own products. People kept saying recent events were a 7th trumpet but it was honestly more like 5-6th. An actual suicide with a note left behind blaming niji management/vtubers would be a legit 7th trumpet where tons of people would be quitting at once in disgust and anycolor themselves being threatened. Easily proven in court if she did. She was hospitalized and it would be easy to confirm the attempt was faked just by looking at the records, but it's 100% was real since Nijisanji ain't doing shit about it.

What she documented is the bullying, not likely that she herself documented the attempt. The attempt can be attested to by the witnesses that found her after she survived it. Also hospital records. Further evidence of the suicide are probably being preserved by her under her lawyer's advice, after the attempt being unsuccessful.

They put that shit about the talents harassing in their statement to deflect from the fact that they almost killed someone and it worked because now we're all too busy playing amongus and losing sight of what's really important here. I didn't fully appreciate it until watching her stream yesterday and realizing we almost lost that laugh forever. Niji is trying to memoryhole one of their livers almost dying and then being silenced and shoved under the rug and we're letting them if we get distracted by petty drama instead of focusing on the main point which is Niji heads need to be on pikes.

China is fucked now with BiliBili legally doxxing every successful streamer on the platform. Sane Chinese vtubers will bypass the great firewall and use Youtube instead, but BiliBili(co-owner of Virtuareal) certainly isn't going to allow that.
Japan's market is already oversaturated. The country isn't exactly experiencing a booming growth in their population either, so livers will continue cannibalizing each others audience while bringing very few new viewers to the table.

NijiES is pretty much the only market left that they could still attempt. And those people have their eyes wide open for any signs of black company actions after Wactor. It's not checkmate yet, but it will be in a few moves. And they have left themselves with no way out. Nobody wants to invest in a company with no potential for future growth.

that would depend on when she decided to lawyer up. if she only lawyered up AFTER she survived, then it's really a matter of who in nijiEN still has enough of their humanity to blow the whistle (probably pomu). if she had been in contact with a lawyer before her suicide attempt (she did mention compiling months of evidence of bullying), then that complicates things for niji. her lawyer would only be allowed to come forward with the evidence if selen had signed off on it beforehand. even if her lawyer can't come forward. someone close to her would still find out.
