I had an oshi once and they dissapeared from the internet for maybe half a year before coming back, and honestly by the time they came back I had no interest in getting back into them anymore. It's not that my opinion had changed or anything I just felt like I had moved on with my life and accepted that they were gone. A 2 week lockdown would place re-opening only ~3 weeks after graduation. I think that would be too early for a reincarnation. I would put the minimum at 4 weeks (1 month). But, 3 weeks could put it at a time where they would start teasing a new debut, with the actual debut a week later.

Whatever it is, it's not a traditional school semester, because no Japanese schools start a semester in February or March. But I wonder what it is that she'd have to travel to Japan in order to learn.
Maybe brushing up on her Japanese to take the JLPT? It'd be quicker and easier to learn when she's completely consumed in the language by being there.
Could also be vocal training lessons in Japanese. I know there's posts above me saying she doesn't want to be an idol, but that doesn't preclude her from wanting to be a singer. Reminder that she did put vocal training down as one of her "wishes" in the Lord's Mobile sponsorship. Japanese vocal training could be a bit difficult to do online because of audio issues and delay, and probably some difficulty in finding a vocal teacher in Japan willing to give lessons online, so that might be why she would go to Japan to do it.
