Imagine you start your stream, and a little ways into it you suddenly see a pretty big spike in viewership. You're gonna be pumped and excited to make a good show for all the new potential fans that popped in for whatever reason. Then you go back and look at your analytics, search around to see what the influx was from, and realize it was just some shithead botting your stream for no reason.
Obviously after a few times you stop caring about that large change in viewship because you rralize it's probably just another bot, but the first couple times must feel bad.

They wont because then it'll also hit a lot of those official news channel that bot their streams to make their news more visible/appealing than other news channel. That'll also mean people would be able to shut down any streamers they dislike by botting them. You might be confusing things with the scam/crypto streams that are also botted to hell, those get shut down for being illegal and could cause trouble to the viewers.Their only course of action is to try to cut the bots as much as they can.
