I still don't know why Cover never hired actual gamers for stars. They're all just kinda... there. I've no reason to watch a holostar as a man. Male Twitch streamers I follow that are good at games offer a far better experience. He claims he checks things with his collab partners before streams to make sure that he doesn't do anything that they aren't ok with, which apparently does have some merit if you go back through some of his streams and observe how he treats people.
It's honestly difficult to really pin anything down on Astel, because he legitimately acts like a different person depending on who he's talking to. It's clear he's skilled at playing whatever character the situation calls for, so you can't really rely on it for an accurate portrayal of what he's like as a person.

I know male JP flesh idols exist but even when I browse /jp/ they're virtually invisible. The females in Japanese entertainment eat up a lot of the mindshare.
