Also, the idea that the audience will stay overwhelmingly male in the long run is not necessarily true. As usual with hobbies, males are the early adopters, but females follow a few years later. Just look at anime in the west - prior to 2010, the community was almost exclusively male, now there is a very substantial female audience as well. Same applies to video games.

Hopefully I haven't gotten too rusty in the joke department, but I know for sure I can talk your ear off, so dead air isn't even remotely a concern. I'm even gonna practice singing and my Japanese ain't too shabby either, so hopefully I'll be worth watching and can get out of the 1-2 viewer ditch nice and fast.
