im lazy and dont want to edit my videos. the cheapest whilst still high rated fiverrr editor is some indian dude who will do it for like 90 bucks per video up to 5 hours raw footage. most people recommend 3 video per week which comes out to 540 dollars per fortnight. am i better off just learning to edit my own vods? i cant be fucked editing cos it takes too much effort. i had him do one video for me and honestly i was happy with the results though.

You don't need to edit down entire streams, just take note of when something funny or otherwise memorable happen and then make a short clip of it, most people are not going to give a literal who a try on a 20 minutes video so you are better off with either youtube shorts/tik tok for things less than a minute and normal short format videos for anything below 5 minutes

yeah one thing i noticed is that the shorts videos do way better. i actually followed a streamers advice on how to clip. basically i have a physical note pad on the side and if i think i have a good clip/moment i write down the time stamp and come clip it after stream. i had one yt short get 100k views a month ago doing this. but from what ive heard yt shorts views dont really translate into anything meaningful

Get really into learning about a specific animal. Watch some videos of monster trucks doing tricks. Go outside and try to find a bird, any bird, then take a photo of it. (You can couple this one with the animal research one.)

I love you. I know you're struggling but it motivates me to know someone's doing the same thing. I spend hours redrawing my model doing minute changes. I had a colored art I restarted from scratch, which I made after multiple sketches. The sketch I replaced with it, I've decided I hated and already redrawn again. I keep changing the face width, the eye positions and pupil sizes around. I've redrawn the shoes so many times. I've redrawn the skirt so many times. I have god knows how many versions of my hair but they all look similar to other people. I've read how many scientific journals trying to design my hand. I know it's best to just move on but like you instead of redoing things, I can't stand it and I have to change what I don't like. I've been watching your posts since your first one. I think all artists suffer with problems like this to some extent. If it were something less important it would be easier to just call it a day, but when you're designing an avatar for yourself, something that's going to represent you, something that's going to be the virtual extension of yourself, it would feel kinda silly to just say "it's good enough" if you're not satisfied with it. It's a struggle but when you get it right you'll feel a lot better. I see my initial sketches from months ago and I can't believe how much more in-line with me my current designs feel. Art improves over time so you can't get TOO hung up on things in the moment or you'll never finish, but yeah, I don't like to do just do the bare minimum either.
