nta, and this is nearly completely unrelated, but I've been using that combination for a couple of days. The relative "strength" of characters seem to be heavily diminished by the amount of costumes a girl has. I can prompt "shirogane noel" or "houshou marine" but hairstyle and color is a bit off, but "shirogane noel 1st costume" or "houshou marine \(nun\)" is near flawless.

Yeah its a part of her design, this lycoris is kinda bad, its too overbaked and when i lower it to the .55 that image was, the outfit is slowly losing the details of it, and the first 5 batch made her chonky for some reason too kek so thats like the 3rd dud i have ran in the potential updates testing.

Aww man.. let me be real, 100% love ya ccc anon for trying to update uge for me since the old one was a little funky with the robot ear pieces turning into pointy ears instead and uge is one of my smol agency oshis but man, no matter how much a wrangle the tags, this does not look like uge past the face kek which sucks that thats the case, its still a really solid lora though, just no hair flip, the winding key turned into a hair ribbon that sometimes multiplies all around the hair (this image its playing nice though), the ear struggle is real and while hoo boy that outfit, very nice, good lord, looks nothing like her lmao. also I think i cranked the robot joints a little too much and her limbs turned into full robot things instead of skin with tech stuff on it. Let me know if you figure that out, trying to get whole context inpainting going but there is literally zero documentation on any of this shit. Comfy people really don't like inpainting apparently.

Anyway for that flow currently how I separate full context vs masked is inpainting before upscale takes the whole image (or most of the image) as context and after upscale is generally a little above the masked region.

Ohh yeah, I remember having issues with her lora. I got some nice gens but I think I was using EF for them. It's not a small dataset, however. The issue comes from the dataset being too big.
I'm not used to training on that. I'm used to train on screenshots from streams and thumbnails screenshotted from their website. The moment art is thrown into the mix, where people draw that hair part however they like and some skip the winding key, issues appear. I don't mind criticism, though.

I can do that but it will come with the usual issues like stiff posing and style baking. I do it for the small ones because there is no other option but I just didn't have enough experience with training bigger ones. For the same reason I hated training Ponto Nei and Hano.
I'd say the best and easiest option would be to just throw it in civitai and see what comes out. I think I still have enough buzz for 5 or 6 loras.

yeah, if i can get the first and second outfit to look right, id be a happy camper, be it as one lora or two. or three if you are crazy enough to do the first 3, i wouldnt the rest of the outfits.

the weird thing is that your ponto came out pretty well but each other bigger dataset is hard to work with, i had to strangle serafina a little just to make her co-operate but even with that, yours has more than one outfit so its better by default even if its a tiny bit scuffed compared to current one. and hano just didn't work on my model no matter what i tried, or atleast her blue hair things wouldn't.

I looked for a while and couldn't really find much useful. The crop factor in the "MASK to SEGS" node is basically the padding as far as I can tell, if you have it at 1.0 there's no extra context (aka looks solely at the masked area), if you put it to 2.0 you get context that's twice the size of the masked area, etc etc. At least as far as I can tell. Not sure about guide size and max size but I think they're something to do with inpainting size/quality.
The other useful setting on MASK to SEGS is contour_fill, if you turn it on you can just draw the outline of the area you want to inpaint instead of having to colour in the entire thing. Makes it easier to use a small brush and just draw around the border.
The guy who made the node pack even has a bunch of tutorials up on youtube and it's STILL impossible to understand the nodes because the tutorials suck. Absolutely baffling how anyone uses this thing, but it does explain why there's so many custom node packs that probably have tons of random overlap, since everyone has to make their own nodes because it's impossble to comprehend how to use anyone else's.

There's another few nodes from that pack that give a different option for inpainting workflow, also letting you stick in a few preview nodes if you want to see what exactly the inpainting is doing. Here's a catbox if you wanted to look but I don't think it's any better than your setup, just different

On todays episode of "How I learned to love the FaceDetailer Node. Or: Stop being a fucking idiot and use the tools you are given!" Seriously, all that time spent inpainting, when face detailer does all the work much better, and you can still inpaint afterwards. I think it stems from me trying it to fix hands, which didn't work out quite as well and ditching it. Oh well, now I know it's amazing for faces.
On a related node, this workflow absolutely destroys my RAM. I need to restart Comfy every couple cycles, cause it builds up slowly and crashes my PC when it reaches 100%. Thankfully I have already ordered the replacement, and tomorrow evening I'm gonna go from 16GB to 64GB(assuming Amazon delivers on time)!
