I wanted to try and get some feedback on this because I don't really have anyone to ask. I haven't really written or read much outside of school, so I don't really know if this should be entirely scrapped or not. I think I wrote it too much like a robot, and i even noticed things I would edit in the midst of reading it aloud. I also stumbled a lot on the reading, with my pacing, tone, and just getting the words out properly. I decided to just leave it as it is, but I will definitely practice reading more in the future.

Firstly, I'm glad you managed to write(and read) out this piece, as it's the first step to you achieving your dreams. Secondly, in terms of the story(writing wise), I feel there's some small pacing issues and in some cases, past tense should be used instead of present tense, but you can use Google Docs to help point some of these out to you. And lastly, I felt it was a little bit hard to be interested in what's happening, perhaps due to the jarring feeling some things didn't roll off as naturally as I would expect in my head.

Nonetheless, there is potential in this. Keep writing, keep reading, and keep learning. Don't worry so much that you didn't write or read much since school, as this was the exact same situation I went through and now I'm churning out stories like no tomorrow, like the menhera wrangler series. Hello again! I didn't put the chama at the end myself, but I think it's cute LOL.
I did indeed write this in Google docs, but I did have trouble keeping track of staying in the proper tense and point of view (sometimes my brain would start churning out (you)s instead of Is). I probably tricked it into thinking those misses were okay somehow. I think I'll try and put it into grammarly. I was definitely thinking that getting to 1k words before even introducing the character was off. I think instead of editing what I have, I might just rewrite it or at least heavily redo parts to try and make it more engaging. I'm also planning on inserting key movie scenes/amv s to break up some parts to help with this. I have a very tough time myself slogging through boring text, so I really want to fix that.
