For context Phase Gen 1 included two Japanese monolingual talents and one bilingual Japanese talent. They all hover around 100-300ccv and their chats have only a handful of regular Japanese chatters. One of the monolinguals in particular has an active English chat that she struggles to interact with. They have done some con events in Japan but it remains to be seen how much they’ll commit to advertisement or how effective it will be.

While he can keep those three JP talents until today after years, I guess it'll be a different thing to open an overseas branch (from Fishman's perspective). You need resources to do things that'll ensure branch success. Also, the JP market is a different beast that Fishman has to figure out if he wants this new branch to succeed because you have to harvest JP paypigs.

I hope Phase Connect will not become like NIJISANJI: successful in its native but failed spectacularly when it comes to overseas.
