In Audacity, highlight whatever you're changing the pitch of, go to "Effect" (top menu), "Change Pitch..." option. Made it by ear. I know there are programs that can make very rough midis out of input audio (don't know any off the top of my head, I vaguely remember trying to cheat in music production years ago with them though), but I don't know how effective they'd be with voice. The accuracy isn't perfect, as you might expect, it spits out a midi arrangement based on dominant/prominent notes (so sometimes it'll just start making random additions if you don't have perfect sustainment).
About all I could say in terms of keeping on key is just practice pitch matching. Choose a note, and just "ahhh" to it. Record yourself. Use Audacity pitch shift (see my post >>635928 here) to exactly shift by semitone up or down to figure out if you're high or low, and how much by. Just keep practicing until you can match. I... really have no better explanation than that, pitch matching is just something I can do naturally, though as you heard in one of those videos sometimes it takes me a second to do so. Wish you the best of luck, being a musicfag I always support people learning more about playing instruments or singing in general.

And if you're "singing along" with her, presuming you're matching her notes, you would be WILDLY off-key.
