VR chat models can't be used anywhere but vrc, you can't really use them for games unless you're in VR. You also have a constant need for a VR headset which weighs a fair bit too.
Comparatively with the Niji app you can access your 3d model so long as you have the camera equipment at home to use it.
I'll also be honest with how much time a lot of the people just spent in Japan, I'd guess 3D isn't far off. I'll also point out that Niji just got more nendroids including the rest of his former gen and scale models.
