It was pretty much a perfect exemple of learning patterns and adapting. Kanata is always attentive to patterns and tries to learn the best way to react to each of them, even if she's not the best or the fastest at it, so I don't know why you'd pick that in particular to shit on her. She's just out of gas right now and getting sloppy as a consequence. She always gets braindead after a few hours of playing Dark Souls, or any game for that matter. Even Undertale was a constant cycle of focus and sloppiness.

I've liveTL'd streams in the past, never kanata, and personally what I think the hardest part about doing it for her would be is that she often jumps back and forth between multiple topics in the same discussion in a really confusing way. When you're trying to liveTL, you're always playing catchup because of thinking speed and typing speed and it really helps if you can see a roadmap of where the train of thought is going. If you want to keep up you have to drop details here and there while still keeping the meaning coherent and if you can't easily predict the overall direction of the discussion it's impossible to tell what's "safe" to drop. I don't think she is particularly hard to understand, but she is very difficult to summarize especially under time pressure

It's a matter of luck even if you understand how to dodge everything properly. Even veteran players often dedicate one full stream to just her. Gonna depend on Kanata's use of status effects but most importantly you can't input-kick in ER. Personally it took me about 6 hours of trying mainly with Darkmoon Greatsword, I recon taso could manage her in one stream as well with a proper build.

Who knows, I wouldn't say it's impossible for her to play as mage from start to finish. A lot of AoWs are also just retardedly strong. Something like Blackflame Tornado eats through any boss in the game. There's also other weapons like Blasphemous Blade that do solid damage and also heal.
The inevitable backseating can and probably will lead her to something serviceable. It's definitely a lot easier to find something good rather than bad in a blind playthrough so long as you explore properly.
