If it helps to think about, a goal that I practice myself is to write my characters in a way that someone reading who is not familiar with the chuuba, can get a good idea about who they are and what they're about. Like if someone isn't too familiar with Miosha, I want to be able to paint a clear picture for them. I sure as hell ain't gonna hit 100% accuracy to the real deal, but I strive to write them and their mannerisms in a way that is clearly inspired by them.
Letting characters bounce off one another is an easy way to showcase traits, but when they're on their own and not concerned with anyone else's image of them, that's an opportunity to showcase a true self, or how they dawn a mask to help them in whatever situation they are in. You can show off a lot about a person when they have no on to consult with.
For the Towa thing, it's alright if that stuff will be elaborated in the future, but at the time I'm not really aware that there is anything to elaborate on / if it will. If she was able to get right back up due to her gift, a way to show off that there is something more or that, or that it's something to be explained is to have Aloe grumble something about how she expected her to get back up. Something that tells the reader that something external was done, but let them think about what it could be. At least in the case of defying death, abilities should be made known to the reader in some way. They can be left a little vague and built upon as the story goes, but a little smidge can go a long way.
For proofreading, you just gotta keep practicing. You'll get better each time and be mindful of your mental state when you do it. A fresh mind can catch things a weary one will not.

another great idea I never really considered. As I'm sure you know, I often struggle with the line being keeping them in character while also making them react to the situation they're in in a coherent way, villains especially.

I see what you mean. I'm putting the cart before the horse and assuming the audience has the same foresight I do. I need to clue them in just a bit deeper otherwise it looks less like foreshadowing or plot emergence and more like random occurances.

Okay, so now I kinda want to see if anyone will try any of these.

Try a comfy fic with Gen 0 (AZKi, Sora, Roboco, Miko, Suisei). I notice they don't get a lot of love as a group, but from a fiction standpoint if might be interesting to see their personalities bounce off of each other.

You're writing magical girl smut, it's going to be difficult to weave a story into that in the first place. If you're wanting to gloss over the smut, you can write it more like a thriller, where it plays out like a normal magical girl story, but things seem to get stranger as it goes on, only for the final reveal to be the big corrupting evil.
If you want to keep the smut in focus, you'll need a different twist. Perhaps try to focus on the futile struggle between the girls, the mistrust and infighting as they desperately try to destroy something so clearly more powerful than them. Shifting pov between different characters could also be an interesting way to show changing psychological states of characters before and during the corruption.

well to be fair, Translation is a job of passion first and a job (if there's money to be had) second. There's tons of manga that dont get,say, an eng tl but are completed in say Polish or Br.
Hololive (and Vtuber) content implies you are actively invested in the Vtuber you are translating. If you walk into, i dunno, a raw site and see a doujin with Luna or Miko, you are gonna walk out if you are not hardcore invested.
On top of that, the content has to be LIKED by the person translating it, so if 10 doujins come out, but 6 are yuri, and the remaining 4 dont speak to the translator...well owari da.

AND THEN there's the money issue. If they are doing some money, they are obviously going to catch that 500 pages NarutoXGoku fanfic with a fat check attached to it, rather than some people going "please translate the 10 page doujin of Raden drinking cum, well pay you twenty pesos".
Then you have the spinning door of people translating it. I did some light translation for a scanlation group, mainly because i wanted some chapters of a manga i liked to be out there. Problem is, that everyone wanted to catch up to Diamond No Ace, a manga i had 0 investment and i hated translating it, so i quit after a few chapters (because otherwise it was gonna be 20 chapters of that) and then the redrawer when he read the rest.

TLDR: its a combination of factors. Vtuber has a lot of translators but its nowhere near enough to supply the demand

Iirc there was that Amelia x Astel story that was long as fuck and very difficult to read through, especially because it was basically one big paragraph.
I wouldn't call Holojourneys a slop because it has SOME interesting aspects, but it doesn't exactly have super engaging prose (it's very basic) and is like 300k words at this point, so I'm including it.
Then there's the stories by the author of Building Block Doll and the First Train anthology thingy. I hate to do this since he already has a troll on his ass but his prose improves at a very, very slow rate. And at the moment? I cannot read through his work without clicking off. I tried giving him some reviews on his earlier stories a long time ago (I'm talking like a year) but nothing seemed to get through to him.

I just don't know how I would ever spin the story to allow anon to bone the cute oni. The arc she appears is will be Mio's as well, and I just don't think I could realistically turn things to where he gets to fuck both of them.
