No. Gen 5 were top tier. The asmr queen of salaryman. Hypercompetent gaming granny with a good personality. Ultra nenechi. Waga shogun. Cheeky autotune brat. Aloe's graduation and the collab ban just fucked their momentum hard. They're arguably some of the best holos.

As for irys, she makes it seem like the entire Vsinger thing was just a front for scouting her through nepotism. But at this point nobody actually believes in her legitimacy. Azki was widely panned for her entire career. She still gets shit on for being the safe uninteresting pick. Everyone thought cover learned their lesson. But now we have the literal en azki nobody wanted.

Ironically enough, that's good for Mori. As the controversial en suisei, irys' lack of personality makes her look that much better in comparison when it comes to both singing and entertaining. But I don't think anyone would agree that the goal of a chuba release should be to pump up your already successful performers. That's just inept.

She's the perfect person for the neckbeards who want to be japanese to latch onto though.

Yeah, with how big hololive is now, they should have been able to land a singer who blows everyone else out of the water. Instead they landed someone roughly on par with AZKi who joined hololive back when the average holo had 20k subs.
