I've always hated game streams. Let's plays and reaction videos/streams are collectively the worst kind of content on the internet. It's the equivalent of talks shows and reaction TV shows to me. I will watch literally anything else, but most vtubers just do games and reactions. I'm glad that Hololive makes them do at least something different every now and again, otherwise they'd all being doing the same slop that every other vtuber does to appeal to the lowest common denominator.
