On my personal experience, learning how to properly rest the body was a game changer, using the resting time as only that, getting a few things extra to add an extra layer of help with the rest, and comprehending my body so that I could fully rest when I wanted to was probably one of the best investments I did, not only money wise but also time wise, I run commonly on 5-6 of sleep yet I function completely fine.
