I think in general she had the pink glasses on when thinking about a lot of these older games, then played somewhat updated versions (rich in UI and QoL adjustments) and that made going back a huge pain
playing Elden Ring at the same time as Bloodborne was clearly a miserable experience because of ER's comparatively freeform approach to gameplay styles and being able to explore out if you're stuck/bored compared to more strictly structured BB, which forces you into a very specific gameplay pace and makes you farm for healing, assuring that the learning process will be painful and frustrating
