What is it with gen 3 that brings in so much more viewers than gens 1 and 2? Like there's no way that people who watch gen 3 are unaware that 1+2 exist so I can't imagine it's like people who only discovered Prism Project with gen 3's debut and then didn't go back and watch any of the older ones. This is the first time I've seen an agency where the newer gens bring in more viewers than the older gens, usually the older gens are consistently the most popular ones. It's great, I always loved Veibae's voice but can't stand the gross stuff she talks about. But the answer to your older gen question is that they already seem to have small tight-knit cliques that are a bit harder to get into and learn about since they aren't exactly doing self-introductions like the new girls.

In my opinion since Prism streams only a couple times a week they should stream those on Twitch and just put the vods on YT. I know everyone here hates Twitch but the discoverability is much better and brings in viewers from two different platforms. People on Twitch are also much more likely to check out streamers with double or triple digit viewers since it's a relaxing change of pace from the spammy 1k+ Twitch chats.
In fact more vtubers in general should experiment with exploiting Twitch. I don't really like watching on there but as a platform it has a lot more tools for growth like raids and gift subs and such. Consider if Shiki raided Aoi or Rita's stream when her stream ended and sent them 300 viewers we wouldn't be having this problem.

I think YT is a closer fit in that the culture and membership system are more conducive to Prism's style, and I don't know that all the talents would be a good fit for Twitch. I would still be interested to see how they fair there though, Nunki recently started doing something like what you suggested and she's doing much better on Twitch so there is potential there.
On the raid front I think they could still do more to direct viewers to each other even on youtube, though schedules would need to line up for that. Phase connect in particular have been doing this a lot, but I don't pay enough attention to say how much it helps.

Was watching Elira's guerilla Twitch stream yesterday and by the end she had 3k viewers she just sent to Melody for no reason other than it being her birthday. If Prism has the right friends they can benefit a lot from something like that.

You're right though that Prism's style isn't a great fit for Twitch since they mostly do zatsudans and prefer a more chill chat environment, but the chat is also less infested with psycho simps like lwdgng since the Twitch employees actually actively monitor random small channels and will ban them if they go across 10+ channels pulling the same creepy shit. The atmosphere of streams with 100-300 viewers is much closer to Youtube with more emotes than it is to xQc or other big time streamers whose chat is unreadable.

Again I don't want them to move to Twitch permanently but streaming there once a week for gaming and watchalong streams could double or triple their numbers virtually overnight if they get lucky.

They sort of already have them, pretty much every other company of note engages with them on Twitter. It doesn't mean there's anything more than that going on, but it's the first step. Raids do make it easier to build on those connections at least.
That said other the other groups also mostly limit themselves to YT, it's just Tsunderia who guerrilla there and SPro who are more comparable to indies anyway.
