i dont have any original watamelons so ill just post my favorite one so far, its perfect in almost every way. I hope we get more of this level

there was one today but it died at ~41 posts. i don't know if the board is moving faster or there's less people watamelonposting. seems the guy working on the game lost motivation after watame found out about it but didn't play on stream too. oh well. we can have at least one thread a day, but it looks like our reign of terror, i mean funposting, is coming to an end.

WatamelonDev here. I haven't been here for a while.
So I actually found a job (yay), which cut my free time by 80%. Couldn't really work on the game.
Also lost a bit of motivation because of Coco's departure, since I was working on her level by that time.
But I do want the game to have a proper ending, and so I am going to try working on it.
I can't really say when I am going to release it, but I do promise that I will.

The sortie is modified from that one in the exploitables folder because it is exquisite and I wanted to save some time so I could add/edit other character sprites. Basically only made a few changes to it such as sizing, the outline and reduced colors to make it more authentic to the NES color limitations (I did cheat a little with purple eyes/hair). I’m not much of an artist, but I can manage with editing/tracing stuff to turn it into simple sprites.

I have the edited sprite sheet that I will share later with all the edits/scenes compared to the original.

I am incredibly happy anon. I had a huge grin watching it. That must have been a lot of work, especially since it looks like you had to remake the melons from scratch.
