A good PNG is a lot better than a mediocre vroid. A good vroid model is probably just as expensive, if not more expensive, than a live2D model.
Good PNGs would probably cost maybe $100 or less, depending on the artist and quality you're aiming for, but it gives a better preview of what you want your future model to look like than what you could probably achieve feasibly with vroid. You had a good idea with the skirt on the first design. The jeans on the new one feels way too normal and casual for someone who's supposed to be a bird/alchemist vtuber? I'm guessing the clothing isn't fully realized yet, but the coat could either use a bit more adornments or even just make it look more fantastical or arknights-y. And why not make it a more pastel goth with decora elements? that could be interesting to see especially since her hair are making the rope thingy you could indicate on the bangs accesories that she is a zombie, and probably died due to suicide.
