She continued to say that she had never been great at something like sports to get medals or awards, but that her parents supported her anyway.

The whole thing with Gura fading away almost seemingly on purpose (because the blindsides her own community and genmates) is a mystery to me. To be an online celebrity through an avatar, being funny and singing and being adored (for the most part), and all that without putting your own face out there sounds like a dream job to many people I'd say, but I really don't know what goes into doing it for years non-stop.
