You get more people making the company money by accelerating, but unless your growth in viewership is extremely fast you're also splitting the audience you've acquired every time you bring in new people. It's not exactly a winnable situation either since removing people from your ranks via graduating doesn't necessarily bring those viewers back into the fold.

Yeah, but like the other anons touched on, Niji's business model is to throw everything at the wall and see what sticks in quick succession. It leads to internal cannibalization of viewers, and may even potential burnout for some people (like me) who are just exhausted by all the debuts. I haven't given any new gens a try since XSoleil, and even then, the only member I watch now at all is Pomu.

Plus, it definitely doesn't help that the EN vtuber bubble has deflated considerably since its initial boom.

It's about average. And loli designs are more marketable since they are generally/inherently less sexualized, which helps weebs feel less like horny nerds and helps normies feel less ick about associating with weeb culture. Her voice is also naturally suitable for a loli model.
