A few months? For the girls, Rura has only been streaming for a month, and she is doing well. She has active chatters, fan art, and her streams are fun. She is definitely the star of this gen. Rinna needs to stream more often, but she has so much potential. If she leaned into roleplay or ASMR, she will get huge. Mond has been streaming for two weeks and has had a bit of success too. She is a great entertainer. Her chemistry on collab is amazing too.

It's difficult to judge the females so quickly. Many drop off or basically stagnate forever once they lose their novelty. It really feels like it's much more of a zero sum game with the girls, and novelty factor is a really big part of how they grow. You can't extrapolate a female's growth tends easily.

The guys have a much harder time getting started usually but they tend to have more steady upward trend. Number one reason to immediately ignore every post about who "fell off" "isn't going to make it" "had bad numbers" or really any other sort of number-based nonsense is that the person posting it is either:
-superficial: they only see the numbers as numbers and they can only process that number A is higher or lower than number B
-malicious: they're only looking at numbers for the purposes of bludgeoning somebody else with them to make that person upset or to make people who like that person upset
-enroute to menhera: counting individual viewers by day, tracking who does and doesn't show up to streams by name and then feeling betrayed or whatever when they don't show, etc

At best, ccv can be one of a million things you should take into account when planning programming, but if its literally the only thing you're looking at, you're a fool. Line go up is good for a dopamine hit, but it means very little on its own. This is even more so when a lot of the number traps aspies fall into are so miniscule in comparison to eachother or just comparing Monday to Tuesday numbers and having a melty. Make content first, decide if people are watching it later. Decide why people aren't watching it, if your goal is numbers go up, and adjust without losing your core self.

That's the lesson lost in the numbers.

I usually get the feeling when someone is streaming a retro game that everybody, including the streamer, is aware of the history and lore of the game and so a lot of the time I feel kind of excluded and confused. nta and admittedly I haven't really caught your streams but I know another chuuba that dedicates an entire section at the end of stream to working through drawing redeems. I'm sure making it a separate dedicated stream later on would work just as well but either way, yeah if it's a regular enough occurrence it's better to have a time set apart for it rather than doing them as they come up.

At times, I think maybe I'm shooting myself in the foot playing primarily retro games but they're what I like and there are so many good ones I still haven't played. If it makes you feel any better, I jump into a lot of them blind and get educated by my audience and when I do know things about them, I'm happy to share them as part of my talking points during the stream.

Maybe a while other stream for them would be a bad idea in that case, I think the last one I did that wasn't the five minute speed drawing at the end of last stream took me just under an hour, which is pretty bad... I take so long to do them I probably WOULD end up with a queue, hehe. Maybe the solution really is just to practice getting faster and getting stuck in my own head about details less.

I feel like I'm somewhat on the right track to "diversify" my viewerbase. I see more and more people in my chat that are not just aspies. Sure, they might be asp adjacent I think? I don't know tho, they are at the very least not streamers nor do their names ring any bells.

I don't know if lies of P is a huge nuff, or if the timezone I play it in is, but.ill experiment with it some more. I mainly want this to be the "long game stream" timezone anyways tho, so I don't die.

And to get some of that ASP advice thing rolling as well: Bros, what's like, the best way to set up a bunch of "jobs" etc and add twitch viewers to it? Should I just copy-paste profile pictures into word? Play around with GIMP or some shit? I'm technologically illiterate so I genuinely dunno what people do for stuff like this!
