Yeah, she did say it was a health break because otherwise she'd be in real trouble. Told chat to not worry, that she'll still be on Twitter and would keep in contact via membership posts, even be in some collabs but just not streaming her side. Totally cool, everyone wished her well. Then she ghosted for about 90 days, and said she just took a long nap for 1-2 days, then visited some relatives, then just hung out with friends. Apparently she went to Japan around that time too based on some JP Holos saying they saw her. Ina never mentioned any of this because after almost 90 days were up she makes a post saying "oh sorry, forgot my phone lol". I've only seen a few indies who have such a fiercely loyal attachment to (most) of their regular viewers. I remember liking her a lot in her debut but only chatting a bit during her FE streams and then taking a break until she decided to stream Yakuza like a dragon which is where I became more of a regular. She read a few chat messages and thanked me a lot when I joined the membership and I've been following her ever since.

Let me preface this by saying that I am not a chumbud. I have no oshi currently, an ex-sanallite.

Your picrel. She's thankful and does, in fact, love the chumbuds, but her explosive growth in 2020 has now caused her to only think of herself as a failure lately. Major imposor syndrome + bouts of depression have gotten in the way of being able to deliver to the chumbuds what she desperately wants to. She doesn't even like being big anymore. She knows that she could never leave Hololive, but at the same time, she wishes she could have a small audience at this point. That's not to say that she doesn't appreciate her current fans, but, again, major impostor syndrome. It's been going on for her since late 2022, when she took her first hiatus and has only persisted since. I do think that seeing her own popularly start to wane in the greater public was the catalyst, but if it wasn't that, it has to have been the drunken stupor of a year that was 2022. It was nearly almost all bad for the whole year. From having her daki requests denied and denied to Tempus and what it did to HololiveEN, to only barely getting her 3D Live by the slimmest of margins, it's a miracle she held out for as long as she did. She went from being happy, being able to call herself the #1 vtuber, to absolutely hating what the title has led her to become. She's internally conflicted, but there is hope. Advent's debuts and relative success in 2023 standards is giving her hope, and I have full faith that come EN4, our beloved shork will be prepared and ready to finally comeback and be who she used to be. We saw a glimpse of it with her month of streaming around Advent's debut. Numberfags said it was to make sure she didn't lose any of her audience, but it was actually a combination of trying to show her audience that she's not the only one, as well as showing that she's feeling better about EN as a whole. She's starting back up again, although only internally for now, but soon enough, she will be ready to be who she used to be for years to come! Are you ready for a new Gawr Gura takeover, /vt/?
