How the hell do you guys talk with and monitor chat when you're doing active, non-pausable games?

I tried playing Overwatch yesterday, and just recorded it rather than streaming, but looked in a literal-who's 3 person chat. Wasn't paying attention to it at all.

It does as long as you're not affiliate and or partner. Multistreaming only makes sense if you don't have a viewerbase. As soon as you have a small following, only continue on the plattform that works for you or else they will not stay for very long.

You don't while you play. I always hide chat when I play because it's hard to focus when chat messages pop up all the time. You can read chat when you're dead or when you're channeling. It works pretty good for me and no one will be mad at you if you read them maybe 30 seconds later.

I try so hard not to leave dead-air during my streams, which is easy on GSG like HoI or Vic, but much harder on FPS games, given that I can't be explaining what I'm doing, or checking out how the rest of the world is developing.

I'm sure its because of some idea on making your own special tech, but the problem is that their 'competition' is making huge strides. Like is it a genuine American (or EN) branch where all the work and management is done through an American company, or are you having to work directly (or at least indirectly) with the Japanese company.

For the most part unless you're playing modern games and require great graphics, a 1k computer (desktop not laptop) would suffice for most purposes, assuming you're not getting scammed.

if you're playing later games might require some more. Make sure to have sufficient ram (32G is probs good enough)
the biggest thing is bandwidth, make sure you have decent upload bandwidth, its something that most people don't need much of so the default plans usually have it pretty low, make sure you can sufficiently upload things in real time and without cutting out.

Honestly a lot of females are the same thing. I click some of these female vtubers in the 50-200-sih range, and it's a lot of the same thing. A big part of of it is just how well you hold an audience and how much that audience likes your particular brand of "cute girl/artist playing games i like".

Very few of them are making content in the same sense that "real" content creators are.

The ones trying to do something even a bit out of the ordinary, like some of the stuff skits or semi-scripted content, or like the /wvt/ chuubas do from time to time barely get any notice from the outside because I don't think people are really interested in that kind of thing, not as a main form of content at least.

The only difference I see between most male or female vtubers in the 10-20 range and ones in the 70-80 range is that the ones up higher have just been around longer and have an overall higher quality setup, and probably a schedule.

Rule of thumb: if you run out of things to say, just narrate what your thought proccess is at the moment. You might be able to interconnect an event that's happening with something you did before and keep the improvisation going on without it sounding forced.
Ironic how I can give advice, but never streamed before. I guess it's like talking with friends or in public, but I can't say for sure. I'm still on the fence with the card games thing, but now I have a friend on board to not make a clown of just myself. I'll try to make videos without vtubing in mind for a while, and maybe I'll incorporate a persona later for streams and such.
