If the Mario Kart tournament is around when Reine thinks it is, and Reine is out, then it's a safe bet Kiara is out too.
I'll almost certainly forget to tune into it. It would be like watching NASCAR, there's no emotional investment if my oshi and my second favorite aren't in it.

I'm not a fan of the big Mario Kart tournament in general, mainly because how there's always drama about Nintendo's netcode fucking someone over and forcing her to play in the zako cup, or just desync issues destroying overseas participants.
Come to think of it, the structure could also be better so if you're a mid level player, you get your own share of screentime as well, not just the zako cup talents and the grand finalists.

I'm slightly positive on the whole thing I think, but I mostly just enjoy where there can be a big event, it's exciting. Mario Kart is like the only game that they have perms for and that tourists would recognize which can do something across all the branches.
All the other large group games either filter half the talents and usually come with spergy tourists (AoE, for one, APEX, Overwatch, Rust, ...) or have been played for years now (Among Us, Minecraft).
