She didn't want to just be Gura's Moona/Kanata so she purposely cut down massively on the collabs with Gura, they are still friends obviously, but she just didn't want to be known as the sidekick.

There were expectations for Ame to be at the top of EN. She's the most competent on the streaming side, the most unique voice, and the personality to go along with it. Having the most western design, Cover was probably expecting her to be the most popular to the western audience, making her the MC in holoMyth lore. She was directly or indirectly pressured to meet these expectations.

Come EN debut, shark destroys everyone. Her harmless little shark friend stole the spotlight with a single fucking syllable. Ame had the skill and talent but this OP shark came in and took everything from her(and from Haachama) effortlessly. She came to realize that she wasn't the MC, she was the MC's friend.

It's wasn't too big of a deal, she was still part of the MC group. Her expectations were shot but she was still confident. She knows her own abilities and she knows where she stand. Shark's cuteness and singing ability is extremely strong but Ame's meme knowledge and GFE abilities were unmatched. Or so she thought. Though, not to the same extent, sharky's memes and GFE are top tier as well. So much so that they're often paired together. Ame gets along well with shark and she likes her but she can't help but feel the cold standing in her shadow. Sticking with shark will make her grow but it's unlikely that she will overtake her. Ame is competitive by nature after all. She wants to be at the top but she can only do that if she grows separately from sharky.
