Yeah, the more goes down with Cover, the more I feel like they're kind of a fairly dark grey company overall. They really don't seem to care about the talents short of "Are you making us money? Okay then" and they definitely only see the public supporters as profit factories. In the beginning, they may have been more in lines with "Hey, I'm putting out a product and I hope you enjoy / support it." but lately they've definitely been "Hmm, how can we get more money out of these people while delivering less to them?"

I firmly believe requiring 12 hours of streaming a week is not a hard ask and should be a base requirement for all of their talents. 12 hours of live stream time, factoring in a few extra hours for meetings / thumbnail making, is basically 1/3 the typical work hours your average person works for immeasurably more money. The fact they don't even require these people to be part timers is kind of pathetic.

La+ is barely streaming on Youtube as she is right now (unless there's another eceleb Rust or GTA server), so her switching to Twitch means you lose out at most 5 hours of Youtube content per month from her. Most of her typical Hololive gachikoi already moved on to greener pastures.
Cover most likely considers Lap's lack of activity and lets her experiment with gaming the YT shorts algorithm, and if any blow back happens only her channel will suffer, essentially saying that she can put her money where her mouth is. The only party that is really losing out is the Lap's YT viewers, but that's what they get if they choose to oshi her, knowing her tendencies.
