She KNEW it would hurt a lot of her fans, and she did that knowingly.
Kronii also did the whole pic rel arc, where she backstabbed her fanbase after giving them hope.

Those are the only 2 incidents of outright "betrayal" and "hatred" from Hololive English VTubers towards their fans, and both of them were associated with the homos.
And as with all trauma, a common factor(homos) became associated with the trauma's(chuuba hating fanbase) trigger.

Hence now, if any girl is moving close the homos, it's one step towards "HATING YOUR FANBASE" thanks to this association that they have in their head.

It's partially because the people who are sane enough (or just slightly insane enough, in exactly the right ways) and skilled enough to make a proper alternative have better things to do than run an imageboard. 4chan was the passion project of a literal teenager with all the time in the world, launched on hosting he literally bought with his mom's credit card. And adult would have to be independently wealthy to put the same amount of time in. A couple years ago I got halfway through coding a modernized imageboard, and stopped once I realized that if it was even a little bit successful then I would have to either moderate it myself or hire someone. I don't have nearly enough time or money for that, nor would I want to deal with how much stress it would be.

Regardless, I long for the past when there were numerous alternative imageboards that were regularly used. Not simply "replacements" for 4chan, which always fail, but alternatives used for things that 4chan simply isn't suited for.
