It's a lesson for me in marketing to be honest. I think what went wrong was that the hype generated early on had no where to go because the internet did not have a cohesive idea what it is. Hype generates hype, so once the initial wave went away, people just lost interest.

Every couple of months now Cover has some new thing come and go.. Holo Earth, Holo Error, that "blue" thing, Horizontal and now this. They are trying to make little snazzy side projects all the time but seem to put little effort into most of them, lots of little gimmicks.

They seem to have a desire to try to branch their chuubas out away from just the vtubing, but the problem is this is like say, let's say if a famous burger place started focusing obsessively on remodeling all its bathrooms and rolling out new types of chairs or whatever else does NOT involve making more of the burgers and making more types of burgers to sell. It's probably a big fucking waste of resources on that restaurant's part. If you started to get bored of going to McDonald's all the time and they never changed the actual food menu, you will not give one iota about a new type of chair inside or whatever. Same disconnect here, all they need to do is focus on the chuubas instead of make a bunch of stupid extra hoops for them to jump through.

Cover is making a big deal that Regloss is operating directly under Hololive Production. A teaser image did include both LIVE and STARS which implies they will operate differently than previous Hololive gens.
