I also don't like the fact that some members appear on both days. Having to pay extra just because your oshi is one of the 'chosen ones' feels unfair. Either choose to focus on gen performances or group performances; doing both just creates a tangled mess.

I think Cover needs to change their tactics for concerts. Hololive has grown to have too many members for their current concert strategy.
Big events, like HoloFes and maybe Splash Party, need to focus on group performances. No duets, and especially no solos. Highlight large units, and have a couple of big, all-Holo songs.
To complement big events, have some smaller concerts throughout the year, focusing in on a particular group. Generation concerts are obvious, but maybe get more creative with groupings. This is where duets and solos can shine.
And of course, the most talented singers can still have their own solo concerts all to themselves.
Basically, the only change they need to make is move duets and solos from big events to smaller ones.

I'm always baffled at people calling it great dancing, it's like they have never seen any idol group performance rather than hololive.
In fact my sensation was that they had less time to prepare for this one because the dancing level was way way lower than at last holofes.
Also the camerawork this time was pretty poor too, too many filler segments for so few songs, same low quality background graphics...
I would go to call it even a borderline scam they wanted people to pay holofes money for this.

I thought day two was better overall. It wasn't a bad event, just not one worth 80 bucks (thanks Zan for the discount).
Favorite parts were AzuIro, Holotori, KanaLuna and NePoLaBo.
Setlist was a bit boring beyond Get Wild and the Touhou one. Unit focus was a mistake since it has two obvious issues : lack of surprises (except maybe for AmeMiko and the DJ Anya cameo), and lack of balance (some girls have fingers in too many pies compared to others).
I get why Council was shafted: priorities were put on the 3D showcase since only Bae can afford wasting her time in Japan. What the hell happened with Sora though? Give her at least a duo with another girl like AZKi or Roboco instead of shilling Micomet for the hundreth time.
Also, despite all the shitposting you read about her here, Cover clearly believes in Gura. She both started and ended the show and was even the Umisea centre above Marine. They're banking on the Shark more than ever.

I think they did alright considering how many members they have now. It's almost impossible to balance everyone's screen time, no matter what some fanbases are going to be upset. They need some kind of new structure. Just making the show longer isn't necessarily going to make it that much better. And yeah the talking parts are a little too long.

When it comes to actual singing skill, there are pretty much a small handful of girls who reach the "artist level" singing skill in EN , but most are hobby level.
I'd say IRyS, Nerissa, Bae and Gura reach the artist level, reluctantly i can say Calli too scrapes the threshold when she is not pulling her wigger antics.
Most others are hobby level. Now it doesn't mean they are bad, just that they are far from being really good. Fauna and Ame are the furthest away but i will give them props for working on their singing.
