I read manga, the two mediums are so different that one isn't able to replace the other for me at all. You have to have only watched moeshit to not crave actual story and adventure anymore.

Nope but I take long break between those two.

I still love anime, it's just that I can never set aside the time for it. Every time I feel like watching a show, some new vtuber stream comes up and I can't help but want to watch it live. Then when it ends there's another new vtuber stream that's live and catches my attention. I feel so jealous whenever vtubers mention Zombieland Saga and other current shows lately, it makes me want to go back to the time when I could freely watch anime without having to the fear of missing out on streams.

no i think that's stupid. Vtubers dont compare to full, complete stories, the creativity, the soundtrack, design, art, animation, the voice acting. Not a lot of vtubers compare to actual voice actors.

People have lost their minds i think, vtuber content is very repetitive. I guess a lot of people who are simping are parasocial andies, who like their names read, who feel a "connection" with vtubers, it's all fake though.

And there are those who are just lonely, so they dont care if the content is good.

Comments like these, its hard to describe it, but clearly they come from ignorance and you just dont watch anime. And even when you do you have very narrow interests.

I wish people stopped speaking about something so clearly out of their depth. Its demonstrably wrong by any metric - same metric that applies to your old "back in my days" anime.

there's something to watch pretty much in any genre.

You feel like vtubers replaced anime because you were watching anime. You only have 24 hours a day, anything that preferentially takes up your time is going to replace something that formerly took up your time.

anime adapted from manga and light novels are more often than not just advertisement so that more copies of the source can be sold. When a series is doing poorly they’ll make an anime to try and drum up more sales.
Anime is just an accessory to the manga, which almost always has better art. Color doesn’t mean shit if the studio is cutting corners and animating doodles to spare time.
You toting “more stimulation” as a positive honestly makes you sound like a ADHD-riddled monkey that needs extra bells and whistles to pay attention

>When a series is doing poorly

That makes no fucking sense. Series that are actually doing poorly arent worth adapting to anime, all adapted works are successful already in their own right and anime amplifies that success, but they've already beaten the competition among other works in the same medium, which wont get an adaptation.
It is success that makes an anime adaptation more likely - not failure.

A lot of anime has better art than manga - see demon slayer, jujutsu kaisen, attack on titan, any adaptation of really old works.

Also your terminology is shit. Better individual drawings doesnt mean its better "art", animation itself is art and manga has none. What the fuck is animation by yutaka nakamura, nozomu abe and other great animators, if not art?
. Having more lines in a single draving vs a single anime frame, isn't "better art". So that's just pure ignorant drivel

>needs extra bells and whistles to pay attention

its the opposite. You have problem with attention, if you cant appreciate additional aspects by artists over multiple disciplines - like voice acting, music and animation.
Thinking demonstrably dryer work is automatically better is idiotic.
Why even read manga then, do you need pretty pictures to "pay attention", read light novels and novels, they have more detail.

Authors like Isayama themselves consider anime the final product and often has added/changed content, but they are definitely not designed by producers or by directors to be an accessory.

Everyone knows that continuation of anime greatly depends on success of that adaptation. Similar in how an american TV series wont continue with poor ratings, and poor ratings of a manga can get it cancelled before it's adapted.

Im sorry but i find rewatching lots of old shit when youre behind on anything modern is very boomer like. Think about it, do you really feel so old that you cant appreciate new things?

I could understand if they were literally well paced favourites, not some long running shit with bad pacing and filler.

You need to change your mindset completely, finding something good especially when you havent watched anything recent isnt hard.

Dont look for recommendations on 4chan, any real metric would be more reliable - ratings, reviews, awards. Dont be hipster and just watch the thing everyone talked about. Jujutsu Kaisen or Demon Slayer will surely be a more worthwhile experience than rewatching Bleach, and its the same genre. And yes Pekora seen them too, pretty much every JP holo has, and been singing songs from them and spoke a lot about.

And ofcourse you gotta catchup to Attack on Titan before the last season.

Excuse me, GTFO newfag. Plenty of old, traditional-cel anime looks incredible.
If the film was well preserved and got a proper HD transfer, it looks fucking amazing. The small handful of DBZ episodes that FUNi properly transferred to those "Level" Blu-Rays (and the leaked/online only ones, up to Ep 39 I believe) look better than most of fucking Super.
Cowboy Bebop is a perfect example - the only parts that aged poorly were the CG bits that were mastered to some interlaced SD tape format after being rendered at a pretty low resolution.
GITS:SAC is another great example - early 00s, brilliantly done - only the low-res CG aged poorly.
Samurai Champloo is an unfortunate "bad" example - early digital animation that was mastered in SD.
So much digitally animated (and more importantly, inked) anime has kind of converged on a similar look. Cel animated / ink/paint had a bit more character, even when the art and animation itself didn't have all the bells and whistles that came with digital animation.
Not shitting on all new stuff, but don't write old shit off because your only impression of it is low quality SD stuff or poorly transferred "HD" shit like DBZ.
