The basis of the multiplayer backend has been implemented. Its not a sexy part of game dev, but it kind of needs to be there and working obviously.
Just a basic two-person matching "system". Once a person joins, a match is created and the next person that joins goes through the list of matches looking for the oldest one that has a slot open. If no match with an empty slot can be found, a new match is created. Once a match has no people in it, it is removed from tracking.

Honestly the "tricky" part was setting it up so that if someone joins a match, they always get assigned all of the "opposite" roles of the person already in the match (other side of the field, different color, etc).

The BIGGEST part of all of this is that once a match is set up and full, each player gets a handle to their opponent, so now I can FINALLY start working on the PvP code.

This species of faunacatwormshroom, Faunacatwormshroom Trisulbuccina, identified by their distinct horns which always split into two ends, has a large scent gland area that stretches from a few inches under her chin all the way down to where their spore appendages first appear on their body, usually ending an inch or two before it.
They have this due to their large size, as they cannot apply the scent with their paws as efficiently as some smaller species can, so they directly rub their long, serpentine form all over it, forming what are known as "Fauna pretzels".
Therefore, what the owl is doing is in no way harming the creature, as it is barely even touching the area where the scent glands are.

I do not know what tiktok you got this information from, but these spore appendages are NOT ACTIVE! All Faunacatwormshroom, with the exception of a few species, always display their spore pods, and for most of the year, they remain dormant, in which state they are extremely tough and resilient, even moreso than other parts of their body.
This particular species, Trisulbuccina, displays bright red dome shaped pods with white dots WHILE DORMANT, the coloration of which seems to play a part in mating rituals. During the "seeding season" the dots will expand to turn the spore pod almost completely white and the dome will invert into itself, to facilitate as big of a spread as possible for the male.
The only thing I will agree on with you is that the chances of this particular specimen's reproduction are quite low, as it displays an almost abnormally small amount of spore pods, with only two seen in the image. A healthy Faunacatwormshroom would normally have between 10 and 15 in the same area on their body.

Also, not sure what your world's atmosphere is like, if that was Earth it might be difficult for visitors to breathe in such a thin atmosphere. But iirc your world is flat so you can probably handwave the breathable atmosphere up there as an effect of the world's shape.

They always have to bundle up outside and oxygen masks as well as controlled breathing exercises are a necessity until acclimation can properly kick in after a few years of being born. Not to mention all of the sunlight causes skin cancers and makes them very very tan

Based on what I know of alpine people, if anything they would feel better once they're lower in altitude. For example, people who live in high mountains get more oxygenated blood than other people when they get to sea level. That's a reason why some athletes go train at high altitudes. Maybe if the effect is too extreme there would be some detriment, but it wouldn't be similar to altitude sickness.
