I know this is a low effort bait thread but there's something I'm genuinely confused about wrt unicorns. You want your chuubas to never collab with males, right? So from a strategy point of view, you want to create incentives such that catering to unicorns is more attractive than not catering to unicorns. I've seen the argument that unicorns superchat way more (don't know the actual numbers), which is the carrot. The stick is supposed to be that you anti and leave the chuuba if they step out of line.
The problem is...what do those incentives select for? Chuubas that either: avoid GFE/unicorns like the plague, or chuubas that do GFE until they're popular enough that pandering to normies might be more profitable (since you're literally selecting for chuubas that value money more than usual). Corpo vtubers are popular enough that anti-ing them is just disincentivizing them from pandering to you, which seems counterproductive. Wouldn't a better use to time would be to go all-in on grooming 0-2 views?

There are some elements from idol culture, but they don't fit exactly into this new dynamic along with the EN audience attempting to emulate what they see and that's why you have this kind of drama.
Are streams intended to be shared intimacy with viewers or strictly a business product? If some are or aren't, how can you tell? Before streaming itself became a business, streams with your idol were like a private time.

Yes, this is what happens in the idol industry. Most girls see being an idol as a stepping stone. They build up some fame and networking connections while being an idol and not having a boyfriend.
Once they are ready to move on with their career or get a boyfriend, they graduate and amicably separate from their unicorn fans with a heartfelt teary sendoff.
This doesn't happen in vtubing because there is no further career to move into, such as acting or singing.

They've never tried to bring in ecelebs or do any of that shit, they (along with many idiots in the fanbase) seemed to genuinely believe in the coworkers cope and that they're all the same, even though that clearly was shown not to be the case considering that the separation proved crucial in avoiding shitstorms.
