There are certainly a few that standout, maybe too well and they kinda takeover. It kinda has a once you've seen it once you've seen it all type, while stunning it can feel like a one trick pony. The aurora one is pretty flexible so I do like this LoRA.
Been downloading and slowly going through the "Tech/Punk" LoRAs during work, perhaps splashing it in will covert buildings into something interesting.

lol, I'm leaning hard on ((abstract, surreal)) and a lora or two to get that texture. Then its just spinning the RNG until the composition lands on something good, because "abstract" will give you all kinds of geometric shapes. Adjusting the background with things like "white background", "black background", etc. can also be a useful tool I've found.

I'm quite envious of people who are better able to do more "direct" prompts like yours, but I like doing "chuubas for desktop wallpapers" too.

I think going through each one one by one first to get a feel of what I have in stock would help me rather than throw them all together in a giant random mix. Just a lot of indies don't have LoRA's to recreate them perfectly in the most part and some people just don't care to output people they don't care about (usually literal whos). If you were not posting on this board I would not have said that is Suisei, could say Suisei look-a-like but without context it's gone a bit too far.
Gonna go continue to go through my tech LoRAs tomorrow, but some of the styles can seems so non distinct or if you weight it too much you risk frying the model so you tone the weights down and you'll end up with "chuuba in fancy dress" a fair bit of the time. Probably better to use those on non pinup situations like on machines or interior designs.

The associated tags probably guides it heavily, but the pages never really gives you tags to use.
In my wild cards I try to keep it loose given I want it to do buildings, clothes or nature.
Of course I can make a different set of wild cards that uses the same tech LoRA but give it different tags but I feel there could be a more effective way without resorting to repeats.

It's a pretty neat trick, I mainly use it for horror but a few months I tried it with other colours like a puke green to do a radioactive haze or red to make like an emergency lights.
I've seen people use a gradient to add in effects.

As someone who started recently, you gotta pace yourself and set achievable goals. Go on CivitAI and look at model checkpoints (you can filter by Checkpoints). Look at the sample galleries for the kind of art style they give. Don't worry about mixing or any of that shit, just download, plug something in, and prompt. Most anime styled checkpoints are trained on Danbooru data, so they expect to be fed Danbooru tags in the prompt. You'll also probably need something called a VAE; sometimes these are baked in and sometimes they're separate files.

For characters, you usually need a lora; there's a general purpose HLL5 linked in this thread, or you can find loras for pretty much every holo on CivitAI. Some poses/concepts need a lora to give them that extra push, so if you can't get it to do wet clothes to your satisfaction, try downloading one of those. You may also want "textual inversions", which are just fancy ways of persuading the AI to avoid certain things. These usually have names like "EasyNegative" and "bad-hands".

For extensions, start with

Anything else is gravy. Don't overcomplicate your workflow when you're still figuring out how to walk. In my two weeks of prompting, I've found LESS IS MORE. It's tempting to write a 200 token prompt to but I find its much easier to give it a few loose directions and then let it do all the work.

I should note also that there's a fair amount of chaff garbage that never gets featured in this thread. My workflow usually goes something like
>generate a low resolution image to see if I like the composition/pose/colors/etc.
>try upscaling it
>do additional tweaks to denoise strength, inpainting, etc. to see if I can fix any major issues
So for every image I post, there's probably 2 or 3 OTHER high-res images that were almost cool enough to post, which are selected from 10-30 gens that I didn't bother to upscale.

ADetailer (or Auto-detailer) is an extension for A1111 that detects various parts of the image and automatically inpaints them at a higher resolution. It's most useful for making sure the face is nice and clear, but it can also do things like auto-detect hands (depending on the "ADetailer model" selected), although the hands aren't always any better than whatever generated the first time.

Well, it does the generation, and then it does the inpainting before it actually displays the output. So it basically just adds the duration of an inpaint to your gen time.
I tested it some (the face setting) and it does consistently inpaint the face and only the face. Which I'd say is pretty cool and it's definitely impressive in that sense. But the actual result isn't anything you couldn't get yourself by just putting it into inpaint, so it's not like it's some crazy new breakthrough in generation tech. I don't think it's even worth just leaving on all the time because there are many gens where the problem is something other than the face so you're just adding generation time to images that will never be good no matter how much the face is inpainted

I'm not an inpainting expert or anything but here's what I do which I guess covers the basics -
1) Put your image into inpaint (not inpaint sketch)
2) Figure out a prompt. Personally I like to use the negatives from the original image, as well as the parts of the original prompt that are relevant to the inpainted section (so if you're inpainting a face remove your prompts about their shoes or whatever). You might have to add things to negatives if it isn't inpainting well
3) Mask the area you want to inpaint. Best to keep it smaller if possible, so if you want to inpaint a hand and a face on opposite sides of the image, do it one at a time
4) Change inpaint area to "only masked" and turn the padding up a lot, probably just max it
5) Width and height should be fine at 512x512. If your area is a lot larger in one direction than the other you can try to match it some but you shouldn't need to change the resolution to anything super high.
6) You have a lot of freedom with the denoising strength slider. The higher the value is, the more the AI is allowed to change what was originally there. There's not really a "correct" value imo because it depends on how close the input is to what you want so you just have to experiment.

And that's it really. You can try different samplers, different steps (I find higher step counts are a bit more reasonable here since you gen at low resolutions which makes it a bit quicker), CFG scale, all that stuff. Personally I tend to gen them in batches of 4 and just kinda compare them all to see if the spot got any better or not.
If you want to make big changes to the image or want something very specific, you might have to doodle on it a bit in paint first as guidance.

To add to this, just to explain some of those other functions in UI,
Padding is basically you telling the AI how much to look ahead when inpainting. So if you mask the hands, increasing the padding will tell it tool look at the arm too (just as reference not change). so basically it will cut the mask+padding and img2img that based on your prompt.
So while you can just max it, it will increase render time and sometimes mess with inpainted portions res if not big enough.
Other techniques, let's say you hate portion of the image and just want to get rid of it, use the "fill" with somewhat high padding and denoise (0.5-0.6)
should get rid of it (no need change the prompt).
If you photobash or draw or want to make a big change, use "Whole picture" and do it before you upscale and then upscale, should meld it all together. Prompt should be original prompt + whatever you added.
