Yeah, I've been enjoying it a lot so far. Pretty funny that the pairings in the thumbnail and the title cards at the beginning were mostly lies, it ended up being completely different. FBK was shown with Okakoro and not Pekora etc.

I wasn't expecting to enjoy the game at all since I've not bothered with them before, and watched people play here and there, but it was surprisingly fun. Understandable why it's considered kamige. I think it's mostly the art/animation style that was always off-putting to me when watching, but it's not as jarring when playing.

Yeah, it's more fun than I thought overall, but some of the levels are really annoying, like the balloon one. I made it to world 3 so far but the save system is pretty punishing, yeah. If you fuck up in the first half of the world before you unlock saving, you get set back to before the last boss. Fought the second world boss like 5 times already.

That was fun, although it took a lot longer than I expected. I stopped running along at the end of world four, but I'm glad Mel and Aki powered through. Fubuki had a lot of fun and it's always great to see 1kisei do stuff together, it's so rare.

Is that the thing that looks like you can rewind until you reach the part before you made a mistake? I did see something like that when the race was ongoing and I never saw that feature before.

Nah, with mid-fight saves I just meant like.. making a save state halfway through the fight to skip the first part or something like that. The rewind feature is a different one, at the beginning Fubuki intended save states to be banned entirely and stated in the rules that everyone is allowed to use the rewind feature 5 times per world, but it quickly became clear that this would literally never end if they kept it so she allowed the others to use save states (except for the final boss fight) about an hour in. Fubuki herself played by the original rules until the last couple of stages where she also started using save states because Aki was already at the final boss. I think Mel just wants to beat him without save states now to prove herself that she can do it - after all, FBK and Aki both managed to.

Thanks for explaining it in detail for me, anon. Never knew about the rewind feature (or that it was new or not) and always did find it weird that they were making a save-state in the middle of a level, boss fight or whenever they lost a life.
I think the save state that made me smile was the one Mel did when the canon ball was literally near her face. Only a silly billy with a brain filled with nothing would do that.

I just wanted to say thank you to the friends who suggested I take a Fubuki break a couple threads ago. I didn't completely pause watching Fubuki but I did skip the things that seemed uninteresting to me, which I would have never done before. My view of Fubuki and her content was being distorted by feeling obligated to watch things that didn't necessarily seem very interesting to watch just because Fubuki was there so maybe it would be good. Now that I've focused more on the things that I know that I want to watch and seem like fun, it's helped rekindle my excitement for Fubuki. Probably I will go back to dedicated watching in the future but right now this is the most comfortable thing. Thanks again for the advice and for reading my blog post friends.

I'm glad it worked out well for you and you didn't fall into the trap that translator did. Sometimes consciously taking a step away will make you appreciate what you took for granted before. There's just no way that every single stream is super exciting with the amount of content she puts out, you know. I try to watch whenever it's feasible but with stuff like 4 hour Splatoon baito streams, I just end up doing other things while having it in the background. It's a healthy attitude, no need to force yourself. I'm sure she's happier when people come to watch and actually enjoy it rather than doing so out of obligation.

I do this too. I watch every single stream, and when I miss them I make sure to watch the archive when I get a chance. Fubuki herself has said it's important to take breaks so that we can stay with her for the long run. And if the break ends up being longer than expected, she'll still welcome us back when we return.
In my case, I'm still fine watching everything, but I feel a little bad because I've neglected the other vtubers I enjoy, like Aqua Shion and Suisei. The only excuse I have is they rarely stream anyways so I can always do it later. But Fubuki is an absolute need for me

In no particular order: playing crappy casual games on my mobile phone, watching YT videos that don't involve VTubers (ie: single challenge pokemon runs, President AI crap), having "far" too many tabs opened up and not bookmarking them to clear up space, Thinking about "other" hololive girls like Kanata, Luna (because of her voice and that she's playing MGS), Koyori (sometimes), Mio (can't forget her heavenly laugh), Miko (also for her voice and her laugh), Mel (because of her avatar and I love the sound of her voice), Choco (same reason as Mel), Polka (mostly because of her laugh), Looking up VTuber fanart lewds (or not) and just seeing which ones get me hard

There's a few more I could list but those are the main reasons why I usually don't have much lewd thoughts of Kuro. Hell I don't even watch Fubuki much despite being a member of her stream and the last time I watched her was yesterday when she did that DKC2 run with the last of gen1. That's not to say I'm against lewd images (or not) when it involves Kuro or Fubuki. But I tend to be aroused more by Kuro these days.

i haven't heard "yoisho" in month.

Has anyone else noticed FBK never uses that F3 screen in Minecraft on stream? Mio told her it's easier to do map art when you use it because of the grid lines but she didn't turn it on and in the Doroken underwater temple stream, she blacked out her screen for a bit when she had to look up her coordinates. I wonder if she's just trying to hide her PC specs or if there's another reason.
