To all anons starting to learn Japanese, please don't listen to this terrible fucking advice, ideally you should practice the four main language skills (reading, listening, speaking, writing) all together because they can build off one another. If you want to skip writing because you don't feel like learning how to write a gorillion kanji when you'll never have a need to, that's one thing, but don't skip learning to read. You'll need to be able to read if you ever want to improve your grammar knowledge and be able to do anything online in Japanese. Speaking practice is a bit harder since you need a partner of some kind, but reading and listening can both be done by yourself and aren't dependent on anyone's schedule but your own.

I honestly wouldn't mind the whole EN girls catering to JP fans so much if us overseas fans got that sorta shit from the JP girls more like we did in 2020. I think cross culture interaction is for the best but it feels like all the HoloJP girls gave up on us outside the once a year brief hey guys and asking us our favorite food or some basic shit like that. Nothing on par with the extensive Q&A or drinking chat that the JP fans get from the EN girls. Credit where credit is due, Coco and Haachama did leagues more than any of their other colleagues to interact with and make overseas fans feel noticed and appreciated.
Korone and Lui may have done that at one time but it feels like both gave up on that for the most part.
As for the english learning streams, those duolingo streams were largely an obvious gimmick. Noel in particular did like 5 of them in 1 month when she was gunning for 1 million subs then immediately stopped after crossing the line after suckering enough overseas fans to sub.
