I think browsing booru and seeing all this art tagged "Nijisanji" was what made me aware that VTubers were a thing beyond Kizuna Ai, and Lulu was the first one I remember seeing, or at least the first one that stuck with me, so in essence Lulu is where it all started for me too, even though I didn't really get into VTubers until a year later when HoloEN debuted, then I started looking at the Japanese ones and realized, hey, I can get into this too. So now I have a mix of Hololive, Nijisanji, and various indie subs and a couple from smaller agencies but nothing in particular where I subscribe to everyone.

VTubers are honestly the perfect next step for the idol industry because instead of getting thrown out when they hit 28 or so like what happens with real-life idols, since nobody knows who they are and their face doesn't matter, they can continue to be idols well into their 40s without worrying that the industry will kick them out because they're old. If given the choice between Nijisanji and Hololive, anyone would pick Hololive. It's like refusing free fame otherwise. The only reason people join Nijisanji is because Hololive didn't accept them or Nijisanji accepted them first.

Suzuhara Lulu (鈴原るる) is a female Japanese Virtual YouTuber and member of Nijisanji.

A second-year girl who goes to an all-girls university. She's from a family of honorable origin, and is a so-called "sheltered girl". To fix her ignorance of the world, she started streaming. She doesn't intend to be behind on trends, and likes to try things out of curiosity. She likes singing, and wants her voice to reach many people.

Lulu is very soft-spoken and speaks politely, yet has some odd personality quirks. Lulu will turn to stare into the camera and will address the viewer directly at times of duress or failure. She once claimed that eyeballs can grow back, and that she could drink lava. Whether this is just a joke or a hint that she might not be human is unknown. She has a love for games made by FromSoftware and will regularly stream them. Lulu also enjoys the Rhythm Heaven series, despite her notably poor sense of rhythm. She will often host collabs with Debidebi Debiru, who refers to her as 'art student.' She very rarely gets angry at games and speaks in a soft, polite voice. She has both a unique greeting and farewell, being 'konlulu~' and 'otsululu~' respectively.
