Not shitting on Pekora. On top of Kiara being extremely vocal and enthusiastic about her love for her, the entirety of Myth was a complete unknown for Hololive. It's pretty hard to just say 'Yeah, lets be friends' to a person who had been isolated and kept secret almost the entire time they were prepping for debut.
Now, you have Nerissa and the rest of Advent sitting in the discord for months prior to debut, getting to know everyone in small ways which leads to much easier things like this being handeled.

I only know intermediate JP, but I think in her first collab with Pekora, Kiara went a bit overboard with the jokes and the humor, especially considering the sempai-kouhai relationship.

I think it's fine because it shows she's a genuine hololive fan and her pure and joyful excitement at simply being in hololive, as an idol who loves other idols, is really endearing to me. It's too reminiscent of TakaMori at the start of Myth and I think I kinda get why some people who liked Pekora didn't like Kiara for how much she talked about her during streams.
