When Magni revealed his 1.5 (more like 1.1) update, he got real serious out of nowhere and effectively said "I really had to fight for this" and mentioned how the powers that be gave him a '...why?' retort as if they didn't realize how bad his model was. He seemed pretty happy with his mini update though, so why did it take so long for him to disappear (aka shortly after Vesper revealed his model)?
Vesper likely told him he too was getting a model update, and Magni was maybe expecting a "1.5" update to vesper who actually got more of a 3.0 update and looks completely different. Both of them got ragged on pretty hard when Tempus was first revealed a year ago so they were likely both excited to get a complete makeover, however Magni didn't realize he was getting screwed over again at how he barely looks different compared to Vesper.
