playing on hardcore is pretty fun. I got past the hard stages with my faves and it felt really boring to go back to the easy ones to get some achievements until I remembered hardcore and also turning off the g.rank thingie

It's cool because it keeps me engaged, I don't feel like I'm basically invincible. It does mean I always have to grab body pillow or feather, though. Do you guys do challenge runs? Trying to get all the achievements?

It was changed so now it depends on the damage you deal rather than the amount of hits. Each hit has a chance of making coins appear, but more damage per hit increases the number and amount of the coins too so it is more fair between the two.

I remember trying and not having much luck with the original users like Gura or Ina post-iframe nerfs. Was thinking stacking a ton of HP + bandaid + Piman + super Idol Costume on invuln supers like Fubuki or Okayu could work, but never got enough luck with the super item drop or raw HP to make it last more than a minute.

I'm resisting the urge to spoil myself watching Kaela so I've just been grinding IRyS a bit. Got all upgrades maxed except for rerolls and delete so I hope I'm ready to grind furniture.

Over time I pretty much narrowed my all purpose build down to

Halu/Kaela gear-Ramps up your level gains and late game Anvils for double enchanted collabs and extra damage boosts are huge

Limiter/Knight Milk-Pick-up range is underrated and its a big advantage to stay in one spot getting all EXP that drops rather than slightly slowling leveling by chasing it everywhere. Milks AOE boost is also irreplaceable

Energy Drink/GWS/Mask-Rare haste boost and the highest crits and the best damage item in the game. Disadvantages are negligable

Last slot has a few variations depending on character/level. You mgiht not wanna risk mask on hard levels with projectiles or wait for a top rare item. Characters like Haachama or Mumei wont mesh with GWS.Other folks like Sora or Choco could use Horns

Im hoping the new upgrades really shake things up. Glasses and KoyoCoat could now compete with Kaela Gear

For 0.5 I found Akai Haato my favorite for AFK. Her weapon at max ranks with the proper stamps is amazing at both hordes and bosses. It hits extremely rapidly, has a consistent knockback to keep enemies in the damage but away from you and the -30% defense debuff it gives at max rank is incredibly potent since it acts like a free Gorilla paw or facemask. Meanwhile she has great damage reduction and healing so even bosses that spawn on top of you tend to get destroyed. On my last Haato solo weapon run I went to the restroom and got some food with the game running and the only thing that stopped it was me leveling up while I was away.
It might be even better now with the upgrade to the Stun stamp that now gives the weapon a chance to delete projectiles, since those were the only thing that would sometimes make you need to move... though the knockback with stun might be bad if you just want to AFK while still rapidly killing enemies.

More unlocks dilute the already crowded item and weapon pools. It helped that he increased the number of rerolls and added eliminates in 0.5 but I don't think those numbers got increased in 0.6 so it might be more annoying to find the things you want.

No, this update added all 3 gens of ID instead since that is still only 9 characters and some of the biggest fans of the game in holo are the IDs so Kay didn’t want them to wait.

Vampire survivor clones are more about you sending tons of projectiles rather than the enemy (bullet heaven rather than bullet hell as they say), higher bosses sending tons out is odd for the genre itself and it is already going that way to an extent with stuff like the H3 boss.
