Also, just look at Hololive. They started slow and small and kept working their way up with each gen until they really took off. Covid lockdowns did help a lot, but in the end it worked because of the occasional fresh gems.

Niji was way too aggressive and rapid fire though. They seemed to think constantly pumping them out would mean they could hit every conceivable market demographic. They are in the middle of a very rough patch with people either graduating or getting terminated because they didn't actually bother to invest time and care into each gen.

I'm really looking forward to EIEN gen 2. I miss that honeymoon period immediately after debut. Hopefully the growing pains were taken into consideration during auditions and everyone is on the same page with no room for misunderstandings.
