Recently I was wondering why beryl was getting so much better numbers than the average male from /asp/. His numbers are unusually good and have always kind of confused me, its not like he is a bad streamer or anything but he also isn't leagues better than the other males either.

So I decided to do a little bit of research. Thankfully my search was quickly fruitful thanks to a feature I had never noticed before on twitchtracker. Twitchtracker seems to track if any relatively famous streamers are following a channel. And what do you know, Beryl has 3 relatively famous people following him. Lets see if any of those can do something to explain the mystery of beryl's growth.

Using another rather useful tool I can find out when a channel followed a streamer (twitchdatabase.com), and one of those famous streamers (KitsuneSpirit, a high 2 view or low 3 view depending on the day) seems to have followed beryl very early on in his streaming history, back from when he was getting around 3-4 ccv a stream and had a scant 30 or so followers. Right after this follow beryl had his biggest stream ever up to that point and after that seemed to have a bit of a boost and then climbed to being a 2view in just a few weeks. It seems likely that beryl had some level of connections to this streamer that he was able to use to get a quick burst of viewership that most males never seem to get.

I was surprised at how well this new information validated one of the top theories from /asp/ as to why beryl grew like he did. So I guess the lesson of the day is to befriend a 2 or 3 view on discord so that you can get big shout outs to skip most of the 1 view growth period.

I've got a few ideas in mind. The outfit changes completely depending on the direction I want to go. If I do go the robo route I'll have to completely redo the body though so he actually looks somewhat robotic. It also changes a bit more if I go robo cat ears or just robo ears. I don't really have any criticism on the video itself other than the scuffed audio you already mentioned. That said some general advice would be to include a subtitle track of the script. I'm not sure how this works in youtube but I'd assume you can include your own captions instead of having to rely on the frankly dogshit auto-generated ones, but failing that you could also just hard-bake them into the video itself I guess. While I don't personally find an ESL accent offputting, I do think there's a difference in atmosphere from a casual stream setting and a more formal, produced video. You want as few barriers to comprehension as possible and if someone in the comments says something like "I can't understand your accent" it's far better to point them to a subtitle track than to... what, apologize for not being a native speaker?

I'd say all you really need to do is fix your audio channel issue and maybe clean up the audio a bit because you can hear some residual background noise with your voice.

Not sure if I'm a fan of roboears being a 1 to 1 replacement for human ears. I think you should cover the root of the ear with hair. Gives you the advantage of choosing how to place the ears as well
