Same. I fucking love them and tear up whenever I see that pledge of theirs, but they are not similar in the least. There's no yandere with them. And their audience isn't going to bully them for making mistakes (or the same mistake for 45minutes) in a game. They don't remind me of Korone in the sense of outer similarities, but I would put them into the same category of vtubers that are able to remain truthful to their character for years. Other such vtubers that come into my mind are Luna, Pekora, Watame. On the other hand, most Western vtubers I know feel more like streamers with anime avatars without nurturing their virtual characters.

I still wish that Korone x IRyS one to one collab will happen one day. Korone was the first HoloJP who IRyS mentioned to be playing some games with off-stream and they have some common passions like Splatoon and some FPS games. During the mass collabs they have been bouncing off each other quite well. They are both great comedians.
