i was never really an 'artistic type' for most of my life, but for reasons i won't get into let's just say i put everything into this project. a lot of creative types play up certain difficulties like writer's block because they're embarrassed they don't have to suffer like a nine to fiver. truth is creative work is always gonna be a million times more fulfilling and enjoyable and way less miserable. but, that said, i don't think people realize just what it's like to have a huge long term creative project and be genuinely created to making the best version of it. the best way i can say it is that you give up your shower thoughts to it. all your idle moments are partially given to solving small or big problems in what you're making, because you're paranoid about missing inspiration.
