I prefer clips to streams. I have preferred shorter, curated content going back to Kizuna AI’s videos. Clips are closer to that, though sometimes vtubers do short videos or music videos like Watame and those are great. I really hate clickbait clips though and avoid or report them when I can.
As for the sisters, I didn’t really watch their streams much either but from their threads and clips they seemed great. I’m glad their fans are (presumably) going to have them back, though since they will be playing different characters they may behave very differently. I still won’t watch them much.

They were very sweet and I think they fit Holo EN perfectly. One thing is that they were a bit too ESL, so interacting between them and chat can be stalled sometimes, especially in duo stream format.
However, they had 6 months to improve their english further. Irys was extremely ESL too and she came very far from then. I think the twins will make it.

Anon, most people find out about vtubers when they debut or close to when they're to graduate. If they existed before the creation of the board, they were giga fucked. So they got found when their graduation was announced. I was personally aware of their existence, well before their graduation thanks to lurking /#/ (since, ironically enough, the "worst thread" is the best place to get information on just about anyone and anything that matters), cause they would have otherwise not even be in my radar ever and was indeed disappointed at their graduation announcement since their concept was at least novel for the industry.

I am sure that is the same for most people and the problem boils down to both the algorithm not giving a fuck about "unpopular" things but also gatekeepers that think that gatekeeping makes them a kingmaker and thus have absolute control over the fate of their chuubas. Considering that this board is for the discussion of chuubas, it should be more welcoming to newbies who somehow come across a lesser known talent, but the moment a "holofag" is perceived to be in the vicinity they circle the wagons and receive others with hostility. I know because I have tried more than once and more than once have been told to fuck off (not applicable to GGN, btw, just illustrating the point). People need to learn to be more proactive in helping their chuubas succeed if they don't want them to graduate. People have to be more welcoming of those who dare to venture out of their "bubbles" if they want those tourists to stay and help in the success of the talents or else they'll just end up another "are they Hololive material" question for the list of chuubas who graduate.

So-called "band-wagoners" and "posers" will always be there, but they're really just the people that your oshi couldn't reach when it mattered. So, assuming that those two are the Holo twins, then they just got the biggest chance to reach out yet, just roll with the punches and try to give them a chance to see the best of what your oshis have to offer.

The fans reflect the talent, after all.
