The anon above you is right and that's kinda what I went with. It wouldn't make a ton of sense for Kuro to be the only one of the gang. I also wanted to use the rest of GAMERS as a slight foil to Kuro in a way, as well as a tool to help Anon slowly understand her more. I remember giving Korone a bit more characterization and background than the others, but I would like to do something similar with mio and okayu when I get back to that story. How they will end up pushing their gang leader and errand boy together is also just cute.

I'm pretty sure that while ideally you'd want it to be a series in order to have time to properly worldbuild the world of kemonomimi slavery and freedom. You could probably write a one-shot by leaning on anime cliches by just having shit like magic slave collars/crests and something supressing the light of the full moon that all goes kaput when the blood moon rises and causes all female kemono slaves to rise up and rape their all of their male masters.

I enjoy how MC seems to swing between stone-like confidence and steadiness, and being thrown off-balance by relatively mild unexpected elements, like when Oswald teased him when they met, or when he processes A-chan's name. Characterizes him as a person very reliant on his utter control of the situation, which works nicely, but also doesn't make him a perfect emotionless violenceman.
