Was this made by the same anon as "Since the day my sun died" because the prose has a similar step to it. The drama of this just felt like angsty bullshit that just "tells" what happened rather than actually "showing" it. I think the emotional distance from the events is why this kind of falls flat. If this concept had any chance of working it kind of needed those emotions of bitterness and jealousy to cloud it since the slight tinge of regret it has just doesn't carry the work.
